The Ancient Greeks were wise, there’s no doubt about that. Among the nuggets of wisdom they’ve left us, one that stands out today as something that still applies is the phrase “Mens sana in corpore sano”. This is the mantra I follow whenever I cook the most delicious, healthy recipes for any fitness or well-being-oriented events.
Many people assume that exquisite creations and healthy diets tend to go in opposite directions, but this simply isn’t the case. In my experience working as a private chef during events focused on physical, mental and spiritual well-being, these two actually go hand-in-hand. The value of fresh ingredients
When it comes to listening to and taking care of our bodies, it’s important to take the time to choose the right ingredients. In order to prepare my menus for private retreats or healthy events as a private chef in Mallorca, this first step is non-negotiable.
This selection process will be based both on quality and on the island’s local production. While guaranteeing freshness is essential for cooking my culinary creations, it’s especially pertinent when it comes to delicious and healthy menus.
The importance of focusing on yourself without worries
In events like these, the key is to disconnect. Or rather, to reconnect with ourselves on a physical, mental and spiritual level. That’s why an important part of the job is to ensure that the participants of the retreat don’t feel worried about what’s on their plates. More than that, it’s my personal mission to see to it that each bite is all fun, no regrets. Whether it’s a light breakfast, a vegetarian brunch or a fresh three-course dinner, everything is possible. I will adapt my knowledge and experience to each event so that the participants enjoy every moment without thinking twice about what’s on the menu.
The fewer the people, the more time and effort for everyone
It goes without saying that any private chef worth his salt will make sure that each and every one of his clients is left satisfied. For some, this starts and ends with making a great meal. For me, however, this extends to fully giving my time and attention to everyone at the table.
Every detail is important to me, and making sure none slip by me is something I can only achieve when I cook for and serve groups of up to 20 people. I love meeting, learning about and understanding each of the diners, anticipating their needs. If I am placed in charge of cooking for an event, everyone will get the attention they deserve, no exceptions.
Exquisite and very healthy personalized dishes
Finally, of course, one of my biggest concerns is to ensure that each dish is exquisite and unique. As a private chef in Mallorca, it would be a disservice to my clients to offer anything less than that, especially when they’re already taking the time to go to these events for their personal health. Using the knowledge I’ve gained in my years in the industry, I will create a complete menu that adapts to the needs and themes of the event.
My versatility allows me to create and adapt my culinary creations so that a healthy meal and a tasty dish aren’t opposites, but rather one and the same.
